West Cary Middle School offers band, string orchestra, chorus, and exploratory music classes and performance groups. Being part of these classes and performance ensembles is a great opportunity to learn a new instrument, make music with like-minded classmates and be an important part of the West Cary community.
The WCMS Fine Arts Boosters is a parent-led organization that supports our students and teachers in their quest to pursue music education and performance.

FUN FACTS
Band, Orchestra, and Chorus are all classes in middle school. We meet as one of the students classes during the school day.
In 6th grade, students (usually) only have 2 performances after school. One in December and one in May.
Students may play sports (in 7th grade) and be in band, orchestra, or chorus.
Students are expected to provided their own instrument and other materials for band and orchestra.
